My aim is to guide people through a yoga experience where we can explore and find what we need from yoga together. If a yoga class with me makes you smile and breathe with ease and grace, then I've achieved my purpose as a teacher.
I have been teaching since 1994. My teacher training has been with Knoff Yoga and the expert tuition of Nicky Knoff and James Bryan. I have achieved Foundation (2004), Intermediate (2008) and Advanced (2014) levels of certification. Nicky and James continue to provide guidance and support, for which I am extremely grateful.
Another passion of mine is Kyokushin Karate which I have been practicing since the early 1980's. I also spent many years working in the fitness industry. Yoga teaching is a part-time love as I work full time.
My personal practice is something I treasure. It brings peace and serenity to my life - something I'd like others to experience through my yoga teaching.
Other teachers at the studio I am absolutely privileged to have beside me in the studio two wonderful women – Natasha Reznichenko and Tracey Fearn. Both provide back up to classes as needed.
Natasha has been practicing yoga since 2000 and her journey began in Russia with traditional Hatha yoga. After years of working in science (she is a geologist) she gradually came to the decision to take the path as a full time yoga instructor. In 2016 Natasha completed her first 200-hour Certified Teacher Training at Ashram Yoga Auckland with Swami Shantimurti Saraswati, she has returned in 2018 for a further 200 hours to reach an even higher level. Natasha is always smiling and believes yoga should be fun, safe and an introspective journey for everyone, Tracey has been practicing yoga since the 1980’s, attending many yoga experiences around the world including Knoff Yoga workshops. She is a registered nurse, a well being coach (Fearnwood Intuitive Coaching) and aromatherapist. Tracey brings this sound medical background together with an encouraging and open attitude, to providing support when we need her at the studio. Tracey loves the ocean and outdoors. She’s often out on the coast soaking up energy from the ocean and our beautiful coastline, walking and biking, either that, or playing with her delightful grandchildren.
